Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently two years through the four-year deal he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the first major honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he earlier was, and would definitely contemplate prolonging his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he won the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy wait, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
