Assassin's Creed Unveils Bizarre Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a surprising crossover event that challenges traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the official release, "A strange meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of forbidden rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret group.
The questline centers on "peculiar tests and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Additional Features
Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana in addition to numerous objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-based attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe
- Special weapons
- Survey Corps mount
Latest Free Story Addition
This patch also brings the game's newest complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous mission partners Naoe and Yasuke as they swap characteristic techniques: Naoe debuts a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-fatal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Enigma" also contains a original environmental puzzle that may finally clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
